EDIE The Estimator
EDIE (Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator) lets consumers and bankers know, on a per-bank basis, how the insurance rules and limits apply to a depositor's specific group of deposit accounts—what's insured and what portion (if any) exceeds coverage limits at that bank. EDIE also allows the user to print the report for their records. EDIE calculates the insurance coverage for Personal Accounts—deposits held by people in single accounts, joint accounts, POD/ITF accounts, living trust account, irrevocable trust accounts, and Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs); Business Accounts—deposits held by corporations, partnerships, and organizations, both for-profit and not-for-profit; and Government Accounts—deposits held by public units such as school districts, cities, municipalities, counties, and states. Click on the link to the left and let EDIE help you.

NOTICE - Change to Hold Policy

Effective 02/27/10, due to changes in Federal Reserve check processing regions, our hold policy has changed. In most cases, funds from checks deposited will be available by the second business day after the day of deposit. However, we may delay availability up to seven business days in cases such as if you deposit more than $5,000, or we feel a deposited item might not be paid, or if you have repeatedly overdrawn your account in the last six months, or you redeposit an item previously returned unpaid, or in case of an emergency situation. Per regulation, the first $100 of your deposit may be available on the first business day after the deposit.  However, the Community 1st Bank allows our customers to have a total of $500 available for immediate credit.

On May 20, 2008, FDIC deposit insurance temporarily increased from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor through December 31, 2013.

Beginning January 1, 2010, Community 1st Bank Las Vegas will no longer participate in the FDIC's Transaction Account Guarantee Program.  Thus, after December 31, 2009, funds held in noninterest-bearing transaction accounts will no longer be guaranteed in full under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program, but will be insured up to $250,000 under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
